Christian Extremists Boycott McDonalds: The Best Decision Ever

The Bible belt, the fattest region in the country and home of many of America’s most uneducated bigots may just be in luck if they follow the boycott on McDonald’s spearheaded by America’s own domestic terrorist organization, The American Family Association, and boycott McDonald’s.
The anti-gay American Family Association, which condemns gay and lesbian family causes like marriage equality, has called for a boycott of fast-food chain restaurant McDonald’s.
McDonald’s, however, has given the AMA notice that it’s not about to allow its policies to be dictated by anti-gay groups.
In a May 29 letter to AFA founder and chairman Donald Wildmon, Pat Harris, Global Chief Diversity Officer for McDonald’s, wrote, “Our founder Ray Kroc once said, ’None of us is as good as all of us.’”
Added Harris, “This is a core value of McDonalds.”
Harris’ letter continued, “We treat our employees and our customers with respect and dignity, regardless of their ethnicity, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or other factors. We support out employees’ personal involvement in organizations of their choice.”
Added Harris in the letter to Wildmon, “McDonald’s is a trusted and well-respected neighbor, employer and corporate citizen in communities across the U.S. We will continue to support our people and their right to lie and work in an inclusive society.”
And the best part of all this are the comments on the “Boycott McDonald’s” website. In case you were wondering, many people have attempted to voice support for McDonald’s, but their comments were not approved. Here are a few of them in support of the boycott – and just imagine these folks writing these comments as they stuff their face full of fries and a milkshake.
“Though I have enjoyed MacDonalds food as a regular customer for over 40 years, ever suince the 15 cent hamburger days, I am deeply disappointed in MacDonalds support of the GLBT agenda with its corpoprate support. Unless this changes I will be taking my business elsewhere.”
We applaud this person. Give the arteries a break darling!
“My son & I were usually stopping by a McDonald’s at least about 3 times a week, until we found out about this union. We have not been back since, & don’t intend to as long as the Corp. insists on blatantly supports what continues to tear away the core values of God & our country!”
Three times a week? Your poor kid!
…It does not matter if McD’s changes it’s mind about the homosexual agenda, they have made their bed and will “lie” in it. I will do my very best to influence my mega church through decons and elders to boycott mcdonalds (no longer deserves capital M) as well as other churches where I have influence. GOOD BYE FOREVER mcdonalds. You are DEAD to my family.”

That person just said “homosexual scene”. Sounds like a closet case to me.

Wow! People should really check their spelling before they submit comments. An out gay man from the South, once again I’m ashamed at the people from my region. There are many of us who live in your neighborhoods, and we will not run away because you want to us to leave. We deserve to live where we choose and to endure the same freedoms as you. I thank McDonald’s (not MacDonalds) for supporting diversity within their organization and for their customers.
A final note. Since I was a teenager, I remember the Baptists boycotting something or another. Has it really worked? The only people who jump on your bandwagon are the brainwashed members of your congregations. Disney is still operating!! Use your time and resources to better everyone’s lives. Help the poor, homeless, less fortunate people with the thousands of dollars your megachurches get each Sunday instead of fighting our “agenda”. Thanks Sally Kern for giving them a new word.
