Elizabeth Berkley, who flirted with the L word during her Showgirls days, is joining the Showtime hit for a multi-episode arc, sources confirm to me exclusively. She’ll play the straight girl that got away from Jennifer Beals’ Bette in college.

The L Word’s sixth and final season debuts next January, although Showtime recently announced that the L-verse would live on in the form of a spin-off — perhaps anchored by Beals and Berkley?

Having only finished the 4th season of The L Word on DVD, I am anxiously awaiting season 5 and more than that - season 6. I guess it’s time to get Showtime.
