KnowThyNeighbor.org, the gay rights organization that drew national attention for posting online the names of over half a million anti-gay petition signers in Massachusetts and Florida, announced today that it has posted the names of over 83,000 Arkansas citizens who signed an anti-gay adoption and foster care petition in 2008. What a disgusting day in the history of Arkansas. Initiative 1, a measure that would “prohibit unmarried “sexual partner[s]” from adopting children or from serving as foster parents. The measure specifies that the prohibition applies to both opposite-sex as well as same-sex couples” has passed 57% to 43% with 90% reporting. Read more
