Justin Caster is an actor; he is currently with the Chicago roadshow company of Wicked. Justin Caster is also a bigot. In spite of the fact that he presumably works with a number of gay people every day, Justin Caster donated $18,200 in support of California’s Proposition 8. Proposition 8 is on the November ballot. If passed, it would outlaw same-sex marriage in California.

Seriously folks – look at this photo from his website. I think his donation is more of a ‘trying to prove I’m straight’ act.

Strangely enough it seems that his entire family has donated well over $500,000 dollars to support Prop. 8. Some of whom are unemployed. Here is the family breakdown:

It seems as though it is all from owning a ton of real estate including about thirty “A-1 Self Storage” facilities from San Diego to the Bay Area. Here’s a list so you know which of these facilities to avoid doing business with.

What is the even more sad here is that they also have a non-profit organization called “Serving Hands International” that is supposedly meant to help the poor and needy.

Their mission states the following:

Serving Hands International aids needy individuals in the world, and strives to restore in them self-sufficiency, dignity and hope by providing food, clothing, shelter, medical assistance, educational opportunities, and spiritual guidance.

Mother Teresa’s call was to help the “unwanted, unloved and uncared for.”

Blech! The hypocrisy! Sorry Caster family, I have a feeling Mother Teresa would much rather you had given the nearly $600,000 to another cause other than banning California families from the same legal rights that you enjoy.
